Baby Disco

Shake Off The Winter Frost this Monday January 21st, 2013!
         
We are so excited to host our first Baby Disco this coming Monday.  Should be a fun evening of music, dancing and catching up with friends.  The cabin fever is starting to set in with the drop in temperature.  Let's get some of this energy out and dance!

This event is open to everyone- current students, alumni, friends and family! 
Current students: this event will count as credit towards evening Parenting Education.
Carpooling recommended. Donations accepted at the door.

Preschool Information Night

Finding the right preschool can add stress to your already busy day. As we are full steam ahead into the New Year so are the open houses and tours of local preschools. We would like to help you make this a less stressful process by offering Preschool Information Night. Here are the details...

Location: Kirkland Middle School  - 430 18th Avenue, Kirkland, WA 98033
Date: Wednesday, January 9th, 2013
Time: 7:00 - 8:30pm

This event will be an open house forum providing a great opportunity to learn more about local preschool options available for your children. Keep in mind this is an adults only event (babies in arms ok).

Below are several important questions you can have ready to ask each preschool. These are also good to go over as you figure out what is most important in your quest.
  • What is your philosophy? Play or educational centered?
  • What credentials does the school have?
  • How long has the present director been there?
  • What is the background of the teacher that your son/daughter may get? How long have they taught?
  • What type of discipline guidelines do they have?
  • What is the child to teacher ratio?
  • What is the range of activities in which the children participate?
  • Is there a music and/or art program?
  • Is there an outside play area? Do kids use it every day?
  • Do you require the child to be potty trained?
